A Bit About Playthings

Most sculpture can only be truly experienced through the sense of sight.  This realization birthed my fascination with the concept of creating sculptures of a size and dimension that make them accessible for exploration by the human hand.  Thus, the sense of touch can be added to your experience of the object.  Additionally, I wanted to create personal pieces of art that you could easily carry with you to bring pleasure and beauty or just “play” with throughout the day no matter where you found yourself.  Hence, the theme/title of the series.  The Playthings are fabricated of sterling silver.
